Before joining OCTO, Nicola Veratelli was Senior Vice President of Operations & Supply Chain at Hertz, based in London.
An experienced and inspiring global leader and CEO in all value streams and across multiple operational models, industries and geographies, Nicola is strongly facts-based, data-driven and results-oriented, with a clear focus on streamlining and redesigning complex processes and organizations and driving profitable growth.
Nicola’s past experiences include Rio Tinto Alcan, Eaton Corporation, Lyondell Basell, and Glaxo SmithKline.
Nicola graduated magna cum laude in Industrial Engineering and he is a certified ‘Master Black Belt’ (Lean Enterprise and Six Sigma).
Nunzio Calì

Prior to his appointment in OCTO, Nunzio Calì was CTO & CIO (Deputy General Manager) for AlmavivA SpA, a leading Italian company operating globally in information technology and outsourcing services, realizing some of the most important programs of Digital Transformation for large Italian companies both in the public and private sectors. Simultaneously, he was also General Manager of ADT (Almaviva Digitaltech), a company founded in Naples in 2017 to support the AlmavivA Group in the development of digital solutions.
Mauro Moscardi

He began his career in the Financial Directorate of the Indesit Group and then held an international C-level position in Qingdao (China) as Joint Venture Finance Representative with Haier Group, in Turkey and Lipetsk (Russia) as CFO, and finally in the United Kingdom. He returned to Italy in Technogym Group as CFO, then joined De Cecco where he remained for 8 years as Group CFO and as General Manager of the Russian branches.
Before joining OCTO he served as Group CFO of Irideos, a company that supports businesses and public administrations in their digital transformation by providing cloud services, data centers, optical fiber and security solutions.

He holds a business degree in Industrial Engineering and a Master degree in Business Adminstration.
Prior to Join Octo, he spent 8 years in Hertz International.
At the beginning as EU Senior Strategic Sourcing Manager, becoming Director of the European Procurement the following year.
Over the last 3 years in Hertz International Fabrizio served as Senior Director Europe Procurement, Real Estate and Facilities.
He started his career in Toyota Motor Logistic dpt and then he covered global senior purchasing roles in General Motors FIAT Worldwide Purchasing, FIAT Auto and Alstom Transport.

He graduated from the Sapienza University of Rome with a degree in Political Science and started his career in 1989 as a Project Manager for the Civil Registry Council of the Municipality of Rome. From 1992 to 1994, he worked as a Parliamentary Assistant at the Italian Chamber of Deputies and in 1995 he founded Tecnicom where he stayed on as Managing Partner until 1997. He then joined Viasat, working first as Project Manager of the ‘‘Viasat GSM’’ system, and then subsequently as Technical and Operational Director.

Prior to joining Octo, Nicola Veratelli served as Senior Vice President Operations & Supply Chain Hertz International, based in London.
A manager with a wide international background, having worked in multinational companies mostly abroad, Nicola has demonstrated remarkably versatile change management skills.
He is an inspiring manager across his areas of responsibility and a thought-leader in the areas of quality, profitability, and efficiency. He will continue to move the company from a compliance-based system to a performance-based system.

He is a certified Six Sigma Master Black Belt.
Sir John Wilfred Peace
Director
Sir John Wilfred Peace graduated from the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst and joined GUS plc in 1970, where he held several senior IT management positions. In 1980, Sir John co-founded CCN Systems (which later became Experian plc) and served as its chief executive.
In 2000, he became Group CEO of GUS plc, of which Experian and Burberry were part. In 2002, Sir John was appointed chairman of Burberry Group plc, a position he currently holds. In 2006, Sir John was appointed chairman of Experian following the demerger of GUS plc, a position he held until stepping down in 2014. Sir John joined the board of Standard Chartered as deputy chairman in 2007 and became the chairman in 2009. He also chairs the Nottingham Economic Growth Board and for 10 years he was Chairman of the Board of Governors of Nottingham Trent University. He has been a Trustee of the Djanogly City Academy in Nottingham since 1999.
He was knighted in 2011 for services to business and the voluntary sector. He has been appointed Lord-Lieutenant of Nottinghamshire since July 2012. Sir John is a Member of Companions of Chartered Management Institute and a Fellow of Royal Society of Arts. He has an Honorary Doctorate from The University of Nottingham.
Marco Musetti

Marco Musetti holds a Major degree in Business Management, University of Lausanne, Switzerland and a Master of Science in Accounting and Finance of the London School of Economics and Political Science, UK.
Marco Musetti served as Deputy Head of Metals Desk for Banque Bruxelles Lambert (Suisse) S.A., Geneva (Switzerland), from 1992 to 1998, and he worked for Banque Cantonale Vaudoise in Lausanne as Head of Metals and Structured Finance Desk from 1998 to 2000. Mr. Musetti was COO and deputy CEO of Aluminium Silicon Marketing GmbH, Zug (Switzerland), from 2000 to 2007. From 2007 till 2018, he was Investment Director at Renova Management AG.
From 2011 to date he has served on the board of various listed and non listed companies in the industrial and mining space.
Since 2018 is the managing partner of GEM Capital AG an investment and advisory company based in Zug, Switzerland.
Derek Whitworth

He graduated from Imperial College London with a BS in Mechanical Engineering. In 1981 he joined Rolls-Royce PLC as a Manufacturing Manager where he stayed until 1993, when he moved to Tomkins PLC as a Manufacturing Director for Hattersley Heaton. From 1996 to 2002, he worked for TRW Aeronautical Systems, initially as Operations General Manager, Engine Control and then as Vice President, Customer Satisfaction & Quality.
In 2002, he left to join Pall Corp, as the VP of Operations for the Industrial Division. Subsequently, from 2005 to 2012, he was CEO and President of TMD Friction. In 2012, he became Operating Partner of Pamplona Capital Management where he works presently.
Marco Lippi
Director
Marco Lippi graduated from the University of Pisa with a degree in Economics in 1985 and subsequently received an MBA from Columbia Business School in 1989. Mr. Lippi began his career as a financial analyst in IBM’s Milan offices from 1985 through 1987. In 1989 he joined Morgan Stanley in the mergers and acquisitions department in New York and later in London. In 1999, he became a Managing Director at Morgan Stanley. In 2004, he joined BNP Paribas as Managing Director where he headed Italy’s Corporate Finance division and was a member of the Global Corporate Finance Operating Committee in Paris. In 2007, he launched NCP I, a Private Equity Fund based in Luxembourg, and also joined Strategic Value Partners, a restructuring and hedge fund, where he remained until 2010.
Since 2010 he has been at Pamplona Capital Management, and he was appointed Partner of Pamplona Capital Management LLP in 2015. He also served as a Director of Ferretti International Holding S.p.A. and Ferretti S.p.A. from 2012 until 2016 and as a Director of Alpitour S.p.A. from 2012 and 2018. He is currently a Director of Pisa Sporting Club (Pisa Calcio).
Paul Cronheim
Director
Paul attended the University of Leiden in the Netherlands, and Columbia University in New York (LLM). He was a partner in Amsterdam-based international law firm De Brauw Blackstone Westbroek from 1990 until his retirement in 2022. During his career Paul worked in The Hague, Los Angeles, New York, where he was resident partner, and Amsterdam, where he founded and became practice group leader of De Brauw’s Corporate/M&A department.
During his career at De Brauw as an international corporate lawyer Paul has assisted clients from all over the world as trusted advisor, with a holistic perspective, building a well-established international corporate practice, representing listed companies, multinationals and private equity investors. He has handled a wide range of cross-border tender offers and public company mergers, private acquisitions and disposals, auctions and joint ventures, and takeover defenses. Paul has regularly advised on corporate governance aspects, and has served as arbitrator in AAA, ICC and NAI arbitrations.
Massimo Michaud
Director
After ten years in management consulting in financial services with McKinsey & Co, he was, for many years, Managing Director of insurance companies of the Generali Group, the Axa Group and the Allianz Group in France, Belgium and Italy. Over his career, he has been serving in over 35 Boards of Directors in several European countries and in Africa, often as Chairman of the Board. He is an expert in Corporate Governance, Risk and Innovation and operates as “CEO and Board Advisor”.
He is also “Presidente” of CINEAS, a University consortium, member of research centres and of the Innovation Board of an insurance company, mentor of Insurtech start ups, member of the Italian Insurtech Association, co-founder of the Swiss Insurtech Hub and author of books and articles. He has been appointed to the Executive Committee of the “Board Forum della Svizzera Italiana”.
He holds a degree from Bocconi University and and MBA from Insead.
